2nd Race to Doña Julia 2022

Race to Doña Julia, belonging to the social league. All tests are open and external players can opt for the prize of each tournament.
Prize Giving at each event: The prize at each event will be worth at least €250
There will be 8 scoring tests, each player/ to score in each of the participating, being their ranking the sum of the 5 best scores obtained.
Participants
These tournaments are reserved for amateur players with a valid federation licence.
Categories
Single category.
Modality
The tournaments will be played in the form of individual stroke play over 18 holes (Medal Play), or Stableford points play as determined by the Competition Committee.
Rules of the game
Tournaments will be played following the rules of Golf, the competition conditions, and the Doña Julia local Standing Rules.
Handicaps are limited to 26 for gentlemen and 33 for ladies.
Ball placement on flush slanted grass is permitted in all events.
Distance measuring devices are permitted.
If a competitor, for any reason, arrives to the tee after the shot has been taken, the penalty is 2 strokes. In the event of arriving later than 10 minutes, he/she will be disqualified.
From the Competition Committee and for the events to run smoothly, we are against slow play, for this reason, under no circumstances will cards that have been delivered an hour after the first one received by the Caddy Master be accepted (except in exceptional circumstances, such as interruptions caused by inclement weather).
Registration
Registrations must be received no later than 1 day before the start of the race.
Registration fees
The registration fee will be set each year by the Doña Julia Golf Direction, applying one fee for members and another one for visitors.
Maximum and minimum number of participants.
The maximum number of participants per tournament will be up to 88 players, in strict order of registration. The minimum number of participants for each event will be 20 players.
Starting order and times
Tee-off at 9:00 am. The starting order will be in strict order of handicap, with the players with the lowest handicap starting first.
Tee markers
Gentlemen: The tee markers shall be placed at same the level of the fixed markings that determine in each tee the measuring starting point of each hole, with the short tees being designated as yellow markers. The Committee may modify the tee markers if it considers it appropriate.
Ladies: The tee markers shall be placed at same the level of the fixed markings that determine in each tee the measuring starting point of each hole, with the short tees being designated as red markers. The Committee may modify the tee markers if it considers it appropriate.
Ranking of each event
Stableford format events
The sum of the strokes achieved, or points obtained in stableford or medalplay format, by the player in the round played, will determine the classification of the event.
The scoring system will be the net result, considering the par 36 stableford points and adding or subtracting strokes according to the result, i.e.:
If the stableford result is 29, the net result will be: + 7.
If the stableford result is 38, the net result would be: – 2.
Medal Play events
In Medal Play events, players must complete all the holes and the total Corrected Play Handicap with which the player participates in the event must be received. To obtain the final result, this handicap will be subtracted from the sum of the strokes in each stipulated round.
Ties/Draws
In the event of a tie between two or more players in any position of the Medal Play ranking, the tie shall be decided in favour of the player with the lowest handicap.
If the tie persists, the formula of the 9, 12, 15, 16 and 17 best last holes played shall be used. If the tie continues, it shall be resolved with a draw.

Ranking scores
There will be 8 scoring rounds, each participant will score in each of the rounds in which he/she participates, and his/her ranking will be the sum of the 5 best scores obtained.
For the ranking purposes, points will be awarded according to the official result obtained, being par 0, over par + and under par -. The winner will be the one who obtains the lowest score with the sum of the 5 best cards, thus rewarding regularity.
The winner of the annual season membership will be awarded at the last event of the year.
Cancellation or suspension
In the event of a Tournament having to be suspended due to force majeure, the Competition Committee will decide whether the event will be restarted or whether it is preferable for the safety of the participants to change the dates.
Any incident that may arise and which is not covered by these regulations will be reviewed by the club’s Competition Committee or Disciplinary Committee, based, in any case, on the regulations of the Andalusian Golf Federation and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.
